5 Weeks Old!

Noisy Little Sleeper

This little guy likes to sleep, but on his own accord! :) He is quite the houdini managing to get the best of the swaddler! :) But when he is fast asleep, he loves to make all sorts of noises! Hope you enjoy the video!

Friends

Owen had a busy weekend! :) He helped his daddy grill a lobster on Friday night. Saturday, he met his little buddy Daniel. He slept through most of the time, but he did get a few minutes of time with his pal. He also got to meet some of his cousins at Chase's birthday party. But it seems that he has developed a special relationship with the little elephant that is connected to his car seat. He will just look at it and I even captured a little smile! :) Another big event was going to church for the first time.

1 Month Old!

*Some things he is doing at 1 month old-
*Smiling when we talk to him
*Eating 4 oz. about 8 times a day
*He is doing well at sleeping at night...his longest time was 7 hours!
*Making cooing noises a little bit
*Loves to kick his legs (has strong little legs-Seth will let him stand up on them!)
*Loves being held (most of the time:))
*Enjoys going outside

Big "Sisters"

*These two have adjusted well to having a baby brother in the house. They don't really seem to notice him much but I've caught them looking out for him a time or two. They've been so sweet-I hope as Owen gets bigger, that they will be best buddies!

*Couldn't you just kiss those little toes and those cheeks?! :)

4 Weeks Old!

Week 3

Highlights-
*Watched first Masters Golf Tournament
*Spent time with Papa Ken
*Went to his first little cookout with our small group from church (it must have worn him out because he slept for 6 hours straight that night!)
*Daddy went out of town for a few days so it was just the two (well four including our furry friends:)) of us!

Week Two

*Highlights->
*Week 2 was a big week
*Owen met lots of people this week-Great Grandpa Standridge and Great Grandma and Grandpa Burns came to visit from Ohio!
*Grandma Standridge sent Owen a beautiful handmade papoose, he loves to snuggle in it!
*Grandma Burns came to stay the week and helped out lots with Owen.
*First bath-Owen didn't know what to think at first but seemed to enjoy his first bubble bath! Of course, he went tee tee in the water after a minute or so! Sadie and Mollie wanted to help give him a bath!

*Celebrated his first holiday, Easter! The Easter Bunny brought him two books! Nana gave him some easter bibs and Grandma Burns gave him a bucket full of goodies (that his mom and dad seemed to eat all the candy!) Great-Grandma Burns also sent him a little bunny.

The First Week!

Highlights-
*Had my first photo shoot with Amy-I fussed for a lot of it but took some really cute pictures! :)
*Met lots of new friends and family members
*Went on my first walk around the YMCA track with my sisters!
*My first night home was a little rough on mom and dad...but I gave them a little break for a few nights.
*My big "sisters" didn't seem too interested in playing with me-they just went straight to their food bowl.

Owen Jennings Burns was born on Monday, March 22nd at 6:06 p.m. We are so glad that our little bundle is finally here!
