County Fair

The Williamson County fair was a Mardi Gras theme this year and it did not disappoint.

Just for fun, this little cowgirl was in the Fair pageant! She was so excited to go "on the stage" and so proud of herself!

This girl is beautiful on the inside and out. She is willing to put herself out there with a smile and we couldn't be more proud of her. She had fun on the big stage. Her big brother sat patiently in the audience and cheered his little sissy on!

There was a kid's farming area set up. It was so cute, they would go through different areas and get crops. At the end, they took their crops to the farmer's market and could earn money for what they'd made. They could then buy ice cream sandwiches with the money.

Riding rides was another highlight for these two!

We had a blast at the fair! Can't wait to go again next year!

Favorite Things Party

A friend in the neighborhood hosted a Favorite Things Party, poolside!

Lots of treats to eat and drink

Everyone brought neat gifts and a few things got stolen a time or two. I brought southern sayings pencil and a notebook from my favorite, Draper James

The whole group! Fun evening with friends!

Back to School

Summer went by in a flash and before we knew it, we were headed to Target for back to school supplies. You could order a pre-packed supply kit but Owen voted to pick out his own...And I'm right there with him. There's nothing like going to pick out brand new pencils, folders, and school goodies.

Next up...shoe shopping. Owen picked his neon green shoes out within minutes, this little priss pot was a different story. While she wasn't keen on finding practical (only wanted dressy, sparkly, fancy shoes), she jumped right up in the makeup seat! Oh boy...

If our neighborhood is famous for anything, it's playdates and parties...One mom hosted a Back To School playdate at the Resident's Club movie room. It was a hit! By the end, the place was covered in popcorn and not sure anyone could actually hear the movie, but it was a fun celebration!

Meet the Teacher Night

Kilwin's Ice cream as a treat

Owen voted to go skating (his new favorite activity) the night before school. We went out for dinner and family skate night

And MORE ice cream!

First day of school blues...

Sporting his Tiger book bag!

Lily Caroline is attending Owen's school this year for their Early Childhood program. She is so proud of herself and feels like such a big girl going to her brother's school.

Her teacher sent me an email and said that LC had done so well. She said that she was a friend to everyone in the class. The class has a mixture of special needs friends and their "peers". We are so proud of this little girl and her sweet heart.

Owen has jumped right into first grade and has done a great job too! He is so smart and kind hearted. We know he will have a great year!
