On days that have been cold and rainy, we have to be creative with our activities! O loves to paint so we made bath paint! Here's the recipe if anyone is interested.

1 cup baby bubble bath or body wash - as long as it is clear/white **All we had was purple bath wash so we just used that and didn't put any food coloring...
4 tbsp cornstarch
a few drops of food coloring



At Creating Artists for Tomorrow

I had a canvas from another project that I messed up, so I thought it would be fun for Owen to make his own masterpiece out of it! I love that it is his art!

A true artist always has signs on his work! :)

Simplicity

A Cure for the Winter Time Blues...

With cold, rainy days I find myself daydreaming of spring and green! I have been wanting to make a terrarium for a while and finally did last weekend!


I stopped by Roots and picked up a few mini plants-a fern, ivy, and another leafy green plant

River rocks and aquarium charcoal (found at Petco)

And a little potting soil...

I place the river rocks on the bottom. Then added a small layer of aquarium charcoal and topped with potting soil. I used a hurricane vase that was a wedding gift and it adds a little bit of spring to our mantle!

Little Artist

My friend, Natalie, told us about a fun place for kids called Creating Artists for Tomorrow. They had so many painting tables insides, a big sand bucket that was Owen's favorite, and you could even paint on the outside of the house! Owen, Ashton, and Alli had a blast making Valentine themed artwork. I think the moms had just as much fun too!

Winter Weather...

I'm not sure what's going on with Mother Nature but I am thoroughly enjoying these mid 60s temperatures in February!! We enjoyed the morning outside playing peek a boo in the tree! He would say "see you" and then giggle away...so fun! I'm sure it will snow next week but for now, I'm going to soak up the sunshine as much as possible!
