Happy 2nd Birthday Lily Caroline

Our little darling is 2!! Oh, she is such a JOY!! It truly is hard to believe what our family was like without her. She has brought so much love to our family in these past two years. Owen has ADORED her from the very beginning! It has been so sweet to watch him be a big brother and to care for his sister the way he does. Of course, he takes toys from her and everything isn't always peachy...but for the most part, their relationship has been such a blessing. He often tells her that she is beautiful! We are so lucky to call Lily Caroline "ours", even though she belongs to our Father, we are trying our best to take care of her and point her to Christ while we can.

Here are some things that I want to remember when I think of my little two year old!

*She is very sweet but can also be a little sassy (if you can't tell from some of the pictures!)
*Her favorite food group is sweets-cookies, candy, "cuh cakes", "peetzie" (pizza)
*Has a good, little vocabulary and can put together some sentences (Some favorites include "Oww me" when something hurts her, "Do it")
*She is very polite- lots of thank yous and "cuse you" (excuse you)
*Likes to flip through books and will hardly let us read to her because she wants to hold the books
*Goes to school two days a week and her teachers say that she is the best baby and is so sweet. We have had a few people say that they love to watch her get into the car because she is always so excited to see her daddy and bubby
*Loves our animals and will call for them if she doesn't see them (Boo Boo, Sayee, SoSo)
*Will shake her head to emphasize or persuade you into giving her what she wants
*Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, shoes, purses are some of her favorite things
*Finally has enough hair for tiny pigtails
*She stomps around and can be little miss bossy sometimes
*Her favorite places to go are Elephant's Trunk toystore (she beelines for the play kitchen and stroller), library for storytime (and will not give up the glue stick during craft time!), gymnastics (she's only been once but had the best time) and to get donuts!!
*Sings at the top of her lungs to "Let it Go"

Lily Caroline is fun to be around, sweet as honey, laid back and the absolute perfect baby girl for our family. We love her with our whole hearts and thank God every day for blessing us with her.

Little Gymnast

Lily Caroline tried out gymnastics for the first time and pretty safe to say, she LOVED it!

She was full speed the whole time!

A little help from her buddy, Harper!

Love seeing her so full of energy and truly having fun!

Denver Downs

We headed to Denver Downs Farm for a class field trip for Owen.

Of course we had to stop for pumpkin munchkin donuts on the way! Do you spy a little belly poking out of a shirt?

Oops-we don't have a school shirt!

Hay Ride!

We had so much fun but it was SOOO hot! Like it felt like July hot! We ended up leaving a little early because these two had bright red faces and were sooo sweatly! This is how they rode home! Hopefully the pumpkin patch will feel more like fall next year!

Three:

Speaking of pumpkins, we went to Denver Downs farm yesterday with Owen's preschool class. Let me tell you, we dressed for fall temperatures and ROASTED!! We ended up leaving a little early because the kids' faces were bright red! We were so hot, in fact...this is how we drove home

Don't worry, I kept my shirt on!

Four: Fall Festivals! Looking forward to taking in the festivities this weekend! It's Fall for Greenville and the Pumpkintown Festival! Can't wait!!

Five:

Indie Craft Parade and Anthropologie are teaming up again this year for this fun event! My friend, Heather and I went last year and crafted away helping make Anthro's displays. We got to bring home some goodies for ourselves too! Looking forward to this again this year!

A Pumpkin Prayer

Father in heaven, like a farmer, you have watched me grow
And picked me out from all the rest to house your light and glow.

Open my mind to think of you. Open my mouth to sing. Open my eyes to see your world and share the joy you bring.

Open my heart to be your home-a warm and welcome shell,
Washed clean of sin. A place wherein your love and light may dwell.

Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works
and give glory to your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Happy weekend everyone!!

CAMP CREATE

I have dreamed for years of going to Meg's Craft Weekend for YEARS! Of course, there are 2,000+ ladies on the wait list! But as soon as Camp Create was announced, I had butterflies in my stomach knowing that I had to at least try to go. With Seth's encouragement and a fast finger (tickets literally sold out in ONE minute), I was on my way to Kansas!  It was a soul-filling, inspiration, happy, fun, life changing, daring to dream, never forget trip!

The Craft House is beautiful in every place your eyes can see! There's so much inspiration, color and happy places.

Truly!

I could just look at the fabric forever!

                                                           We went antiquing....ahhhh

These women have such beautiful hearts and I'm glad to know each one of them

While we were there, we were served delicious meals and were not even allowed to take our plates to the sink.

Holly  blessed us with her words about daring to have God-sized dreams. I am so thankful for her and look forward to seeing her in Greenville soon. You should definitely check out her books-so encouraging!

I won this happy little sign!

When we weren't eating or learning from Holley, we crafted...I mean this place is so heavenly!

Thankful for Meg and her God-sized dream of hosting this retreat! After years of "knowing" her online, it was wonderful to actually get to know her...

And Kimberlee invigorated me in the kitchen! She loved us so well with her meals. I came home refreshed and ready to do some major meal planning for my family. Her chocolate chip cookie bars are a game changer!

One of my fabulous roomies, Danielle, who shared my ruffled apron obsession! And she just made my day by sending me one...her son's name is Owen too! We were meant to be friends!

I had the best time at Camp Create and the friendships, things I learned and ways I dreamed will be forever be a part of me!
