School Days
It has hard to believe the school year is drawing to an end. We have been very fortunate and have enjoyed the kid's preschool so much. We were blessed to have wonderful teachers take care of our babies. These two have grown so much, physically, mentally and socially. These first and last day picture comparisons are causing mommy to cry!
It was so hard to let Lily Caroline go to "school" this year. She went on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-1. Her teachers were so sweet and loved on "LC" as they call her. Her class had a picnic for the parents last week so we got to see her interact with her classmates. She has really had a lot of milestones this year-walking, saying words, has grown a little more hair! :) At least she is still a little chubby!! :) Please note that her daddy sent her to school on the last day with her outfit on backwards! :)
Our little social butterfly loves his friends at school! He says he is excited for the summer and not to go to school, but we will see after a week or so when he hasn't seen his friends! He has gotten so tall and where is what was left of his "baby face"? He has learned his letters, counting, shapes, and so much more! I am already crying that this time next year we will have a rising kindergartner!
We are looking forward to a fun, laid back summer!

Beaufort
My college sorority sister, Erin hosted a girl's weekend at her house in Beaufort, S.C. This beautiful sunset picture is Her backyard....so dreamy!
I headed down Saturday morning. We sat on her dock and just chatted the day away. That evening we "cleaned up" and headed to Dockside for dinner and had the most delicious cornbread!
And not to show our age but we changed into our pjs after dinner and lounged on Erin's awesome porch swing listening to her neighbor's party (we thought was a wild graduation party but turned out to be a funeral!)
We grabbed brunch at Burlap- the cutest little restaurant. I had to skip the cheese grits that I wanted so badly but had to leave for a friend's housewarming party...but I did grab a cranberry scone to go! It did not disappoint!
Even though it was a quick trip, I had such a fun time catching up with these girls and relaxing a little! I did enjoy some "quiet" time but sure did miss my two little noisemakers! :) I can't be away from them too long!

This week's happenings
My loves on Mother's Day
Lily Caroline and I stopped by Barnes and Noble to play with the Lego and train tables one morning while Owen was at school
This stinker is making herself right at home
LC had a good 18 month well child checkup! 24 lbs
We celebrated our little buddy, Skye's 2nd birthday playing in the fountains downtown and trying out Poppi's Tacos
These two had so much fun!
I pulled out my camera and she struck a pose! Sassy little thing!
Lily Caroline's class had a picnic for the parents on Thursday. It was fun to see her with her "school" friends.
How Owen sleeps for his naps! :) He recently found my old Barbies and wanted to play with the boy dolls- he thinks they are super heroes.
You know your dogs are spoiled when you make them Lilly Pulitzer collar tags
Poor Sophie wants to play with Sadie so much
but Sadie would rather sit and look pretty! (Owen painted the flower ).
Mommy got to head out of town this weekend...more on that to come

Introducing...
Our new pup, Sophie Pearl! After Mollie passed away, we knew that we wanted to give another pup a forever family to love. I had been looking at pups online for a few weeks and with all the restrictions that some groups have, I wasn't sure if we would ever find another pup! But the stars aligned on this one!
Seth was in Nashville last Thursday and I saw her picture on Petfinder that day. I didn't think there was any way of filling out the application and contacting the rescue group in time for Seth to see her that day. Well, it was meant to be because even though the lady was out of town she called me back quickly and allowed Seth to go see her at the vet where she was being boarded. Sophie is a West Highland Terrier. Seth wasn't too sure about her breed and wasn't too thrilled about going to see her! Well, that all changed! She had him wrapped around her finger in no time! I had set another appointment for him to see another pup too but Sophie was the one!
She has been very sweet and just wants to be loved. I have been emotional missing Mollie and not wanting it to see like she has been "replaced". Mollie will always have such a special place in my heart. She was my best friend and I miss her everyday.
There are too many animals out there that need a home and we also wanted Owen to experience having his "own" dog. Mollie and Sadie have always been my dogs and they love Owen but we hope that he and Sophie will have an even closer relationship.
We surprised him with her and he was thrilled!!
Sadie and Louie on the other hand aren't too excited but they are getting used to each other!
Sophie is set to start puppy obedience school next week! It is strange to have a puppy after 9 years! We are used to lazy pups who just sleep most of the time!

OJB-a little bit of late
This handsome boy is growing up on us!
He can be so serious but also has such a funny personality.
He is always up for playing some type of sporting activity
He is still SMITTEN with his "sis"
He is very caring towards other little ones too...
Has a sweet tooth the size of the Grand Canyon! Luckily, we have found some fruits that he enjoys (blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries) so we are trying to add as many of those as his sweets! :)
Boy knees
He LOVES his friends! His friend, Ty came home with us one afternoon for school. Of course, we made a pit stop at the Pickwick and then they came to play. Owen can tend to be a little on the bossy side when friends come over but it is all he talks about! We are hoping to have another friend over soon!
**He is smart, silly, sporty, into super heroes and loves to have his back rubbed and to be loved on! Looking forward to a full summer of fun with my best boy!
Strawberry Picking with the girls
I took Lily Caroline and our little friend, Charlotte to pick some strawberries! (Owen was at school so we will go back and take him soon! Can never have enough strawberries!) Whew-it was quite the workout keeping up with these two but they sure are sweet!
Miss Charlotte ate almost every strawberry she picked! Think this one may have been a little sour! :)
Her empty basket.
Lily Caroline the artist
Lily Caroline had her first experience at the "Paint House" with her friends Skye and Ashton!
I think she is a natural!
Her favorite activity was pouring the salt on the water colors.
Her artwork consisted of a lot of salt with a little paint added to it...
And here's a post of Owen at the Paint House. It's one of his favorites! :)
