Another year in the books...

Our family had a wonderful Christmas that was full of visiting with family, eating lots, sitting by the twinkling tree, and celebrating Jesus' birth. It was so special to celebrate with a little one. We realize that he did not understand what was going on but we enjoyed every moment shared with him. Santa only brought him a few toys but he smiled and played with each of them. Owen also received gifts from friends and family-THANK YOU everyone! We started a special tradition with him. He was given a picture book of the Christmas story. We read it to him Christmas Eve before bed. We look forward to reading this to him every year and seeing the magic of Christmas through his eyes!

White Christmas

Little Red Chair

*The chair on the left is my dad's and has been around for 49 years! Let's see if Owen can keep his that long!

Owen's Papa Little gave him a little red rocking chair for Christmas! Owen loves it! He is always try to crawl up to sit in it and likes to stand and push it. It will be something that we will pass down to little brothers or sisters. And hopefully one day to Owen's children!

Under the Christmas Tree

This picture makes me laugh! Owen is striking a pose and Alli is thinking "get me out of here"! :) Alli is a sweetie and we're glad that she could stop by for a visit!

A Visit with Mamimi and Ed

Mamimi and Ed are very special people and we got to spend some time with them before Christmas. Owen loved showing off for them! They gave Owen a sweet Christmas story picture book and a 1st Christmas ornament. We love spending time with them!

Cookies for Santa

The Cruices had us over for a delicious dinner and to decorate cookies on Christmas "Adam"-the night before Christmas eve! The boys had fun playing while the ladies were busy decorating in the kitchen. Hope Santa enjoys them!

Pancakes and PJs

My good friend Jodi hosted us over for pancakes and pjs! Owen had fun "playing" with his friends and all of Myles' toys. Owen also had his first taste of a sweet potato pancake. He couldn't eat enough of them! Miss Jodi gave Owen his first "cell phone"-we are in trouble now! Thanks Jodi for having us over.

9 Months Old!

*Owen turned 9 months old on the 22nd.
*Here are some of the things he's been up to...
*Can crawl (both army crawl and regular crawl!), pulls himself up and has stood by himself for a second or two
*Can say "Da Da", "Ba Ba"
*Has tried some "real" food-tried his first sweet potato pancake yesterday and LOVED it!
*Has started to let us know that he isn't happy when we take something away from him
*Wears 9 month sized clothes
*Likes to be tickled-is very ticklish on his back
*Loves going outside
*Has two teeth (on the bottom)
*He is such a little blessing and we can't wait to celebrate his 1st Christmas with him!

The reason...

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and The Government shall be upon His Shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His Government and peace there shall be no end, upon the Throne of David, and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will perform this"

JOY!!

Christmas with the cousins! :)

Sights of the Season

Happy Birthday Jasiah

Cousin Jasiah celebrated his 3rd birthday on Dec. 11th. He had his party at Chuck E Cheese! Owen had his first experience there. Seth and I have decided that we will not let Owen know about Chuck E Cheese when he is older! :) Owen had fun riding a few rides and looking at all the bright lights (and all the kids running around squealing! haha)

First Teeth!

After an ear infection and lots of snot, Owen finally got his first teeth (bottom two) a few weeks ago! :) He looks very cute! However, very sharp! Note to self: do not stick finger in mouth, he will bite!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas...

Every year, I get so excited to choose a Christmas card and send it to friends and family. I love sending cards all year round but especially at Christmas. I think it is a good way to connect with those you care about and maybe don't get to see as often. It is such a treat to go to the mailbox and have a card waiting for you, opposed to a bill or junk mail! As we prepare to send out out Christmas cards this year, I thought I would give you a sneak peek at some of the cards we are choosing between! I love cards, stationary, and pictures so Shutterfly is a favorite place for me to shop! :)

Here is one of my favorites

And one more

And one more

If you know me, I'm bad at making decisions! :) So, I'm going to need some help with this one! :) So much cuteness to choose between!

I hope Santa is reading this because I'd like to have a calendar with pictures of my family. I also wish that Santa would put one of these under the tree. It would look so nice hanging on the wall. Oh, and Santa, please put some cute Thank You notes in my stocking! :) I'm sure Owen will have lots of thank you notes to write this year! :)

Shutterfly is a wonderful place to have your pictures printed or to find unique ways to display pictures. Some of the best ways I have organized pictures from trips is by a photo book. They are great to sit on the coffee table or pull out anytime to remind me of an adventure! I want to have a photo book made each year for Owen to look back on for many years to come!
