Little Days

Our days are full- full of changing diapers, playing, rocking, cooking, cleaning, etc. Seth and I have found our bedtime to be directly after the kids are asleep lately. We are worn out but thankful for these precious babies and our time with them. Here are a few photos of the latest happenings...

1. Miss Priss and her pups
2. A football helmet wearing golfer
3. Owen's imagination has been in full swing lately- he was playing school with his "friends". The pot holders were rest
mats and his "friends" also took a bath
and had a slumber party with him.
4 and 5. Soccer team photos
6. A freshly bathed beauty

Da da

Well, after many prayers and practicing with Lily Caroline, she has followed in her big brother's footsteps of saying "da da" first! I heard it one day and thought surely she didn't...must be hearing things. But Seth has heard her and my Granny! So, I guess we'll claim it.

The last straw is the second word- Owen's was "Sadie" so let's hope that she will say Mama!

This sweet baby girl is almost sitting up now and sleeps trough the night most of the time! ;) She is the definition of joy! Can't believe she'll be 6 months old next week!

1st Annual Camp Out

We hosted our first annual backyard camp out this weekend! A few friends and their kiddos came over for outdoor games, bbq, s'mores, a fire pit, and to "camp". Seeing as all the kids were 3 and under- we weren't sure how it was going to go! Overall, we call it a success! Owen was so excited about the tent and wanted to play in it! He had on a little headlamp and kept looking for bunnies. Apparently, the bunnies say "rabbit, rabbit"! :) The rain held off until the morning and I think everyone had fun. Looking forward to doing it again!

Busy Body

Owen has been a boy on the go lately! Last weekend, he had two birthday parties to attend! His buddies Luke and Madison had a fun jumping castle party and his friend, Mac, had his party at the downtown airport. Lots of fun!

He has really enjoyed playing soccer- he even got 3 goals last week! But the thing I was the most proud of was that he encouraged his little friend who was upset. He has such a sweet heart!

After school one day, I treated him to lunch at Pickwick Pharmacy! Can you tell he was excited?

This is what happens when you don't take a nap for two days...you fall asleep while playing on Grandma's computer with her!

First Soccer Game

Owen had his first soccer practice and game tonight. Seth is a brave soul and decided to coach the team. Bless his heart- multiple players were in tears (including Owen), a player was injured and there was a little aggression!

The boys seemed the most happy when it was snack time! :)

We celebrated with dinner at Coronas!

Maybe next week, there'll be no tears! :)

Today

Today has been one of those days you hope to keep in your heart and always think back on...there was nothing out of the ordinary just a sweet time as a family... Blowing bubbles, eating ice cream, going to a new park, playing tee ball, and just enjoying the sunshine! Baby girl got to "swing" for the first time- I love how (you can see in the picture) she kept her eyes on Owen the whole time. These two make me cry so much lately because they are just growing so fast and I need them to slow down. But I will always have today to think back on...

Easter 2013

OJB- 3 years

Happy 3rd Birthday to you Owen Jennings! The past three years have flown by! Over the past few months, I've seen your "babyish" looks fade away into a handsome little boy! And it has been hard on your mommy!

You are so smart and loving! We have so much fun with you and want to soak up every minute with you because I know in a flash, you'll be graduating from high school.

Here's a little bit of what you are up to these days...

-The biggest change in your life over the past year is that you've become a big brother. You have welcomed your "baby sis" in with welcoming arms. You love her
so much and have only shown jealously a few times. It is rare that if you are sitting near her that you aren't holding her hand. While I don't want to "rush" her to grow up, I can't wait for you two to play together. I pray that you will be the best of friends and will be close. I can tell she thinks the world of you.
-Another big event is that you started preschool. You seem to love it and talk about your friends. You adore your teacher and make the most beautiful artwork.
-You are not the best eater. For an active boy, you don't have a big appetite. Your favorites are pancakes, cereal, hot dogs, pbj, beans and rice (Moes or Chipotle), Chick-fil-a, and SWEETS!
-You still take one nap a day and sleep in your big boy bed. I'm not sure where you find room to sleep because you like to have about a 100 stuffed animals and books in your bed- and let's not forget that Mollie sleeps with you now. We often hear you talking to her when you wake up.
-Some of your favorite activities are playing golf/baseball/soccer, helping daddy in the yard, chasing your pets around, watching cartoons (Max and Ruby, Bubble Guppies and Handy Manny are your favorites) and playing on the IPad.

We love you and can't wait to watch you grow this year.

LCB- 5 months

My sweet baby girl turned 5 months yesterday. Our monthly photo shoot was rather difficult with this little wiggly lady!

Here are some things little sugar is up to these days...

*Very active with her hands-always grabbing our faces to explore them
*Loves when big brother is around and adores him
*Nurses every 4 hours and has had some oatmeal but spits most of it out
*Is about 16 lbs (83%)
*Had her first ear infection and upper respitory (which broke my heart!)
*Is SO HAPPY (most of the time) We can put her in any of her activity seats and she is content just to play or look around.
*Still is not really sleeping through the night (no one is perfect, right?) She wants to eat (those chubby thighs need food!) She doesn't necessarily cry at night-just tosses and turns.
*Pays more attention to Sadie and Mollie and wants to pull their hair
*Has a few toys that she will hold and put in her mouth
*Has rolled from her stomach to back a few times

I found this little poem that my mom gave me yesterday and it perfectly describes Miss Lily Caroline...

Daughter

A daughter
is a little bit of heaven
at her birth.
Am armful of delight
and pride when
she is new on earth

A daughter's
a treasure
a dream that's come true
A beautiful person
to love your life through
