Last Minute Kid's DIY gift

I love giving handmade gifts and especially one that inspire creativity. As I was strolling the aisles at Hobby Lobby, a gift idea hit me! 

              DIY Painted Canvas 

Supplies: 

-Mini Canvas (3 pack from Hobby Lobby for $5 plus a 40% off coupon) 

-Sharpie Marker 

-Watercolor paints to go with the canvas (mine were .99 at Hobby Lobby)

Step One:Decide what image you would like on your canvas 

Step 2: Freehand draw or you could print a copy of an image, trace with pencil and flip over onto your canvas. Then, go back over the pencil tracings from the back. This will give you an outline. Give yourself grace here that your artwork doesn't have to be perfect- remember these are for kids who will not know the difference! 

Step Three: Add your favorite paints 

Wrap it up, stick a cute tag on and voila, you have a creative gift for the mini artists in your life!
