A year ago...we enjoyed a quiet evening at home before checking into the hospital the next morning bright and early at 5:30. I remember feeling anxious about giving birth but being excited to finally have Owen in my arms. Over the past year, life seems to have been a whirlwind of snuggling, changing diapers, picking up his pacifier 1.5 million times, loving every giggle, splashing with him in the tub, being amazed at every new thing he does, and always feeling so blessed to have such a sweet baby.
Owen Jennings was born March 22 at 6:06 p.m. and our lives have never been the same. In those first few hours, I felt unsure of what to do with him! :) But we figured it out pretty quickly.
He is the perfect addition to our family. He has become our best friend! He is very active and there's never a dull moment around our house. We are in denial that he will grow up and not be our carefree little baby anymore. But it is our prayer that we would not take a second with him for granted.
Tomorrow is such a special day and one that we'll always remember.
